STUDENTS at Llandovery College are celebrating ‘superb’ results after receiving their GSCE grades.

A number of the highest performing students at the college achieved grades including 11A*s, 10A*s and nine A*s, with many more achieving a number of A* and A grades.

Across the college, 34 per cent of students achieved A*-A grades, with 83 per cent achieving A*-C grades. These figures are significantly higher than the last time GCSE exams were sat in 2019, when the figures sat at 23 per cent and 77 per cent respectively.

Dominic Findlay, Llandovery College warden, said: “I am hugely proud of both the students and staff who worked tirelessly over the past two very difficult years to gain such wonderful results.

“We look forward to welcoming those returning to Llandovery College in September, alongside a significant number of new students, as they progress along their educational pathway in the Sixth Form.”
