A NUMBER of people from the Llandovery, Llandeilo and Ystradgynlais areas have appeared in court recently.

Kirsty Stokes, 42, of Dingat View, Llandovery, was found guilty of speeding by Llanelli Magistrates Court on June 8.

She was caught on December 4 doing 35mph on A476 Gorslas, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £220 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Michael George Whitby, 78, of Myddfai, Llandovery, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on June 8.

He was caught on December 4 doing 38mph on A483 Talardd Villas near Ffairfach, Llandeilo, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £146 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Dustin Kenneth Graef, 29, of Llansawel, Llandeilo, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on June 8.

He was caught on December 4 doing 37mph on B4302 Talley, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £66 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge.

Ruth Morgan, 50, of Cae Bach, Penybanc, Llandeilo, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on June 13.

She was caught on December 16 doing 39mph on North Road, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £66 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge.

Mark John Jeffrey, 55, of Pen-y-Bryn, Ystradgynlais, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Llanelli Magistrates Court on June 10.

He committed the offence by failing to provide Dyfed Powys Police with information relating to the identity of a driver of a vehicle believed to have committed an offence when asked on February 18. He was fined £660 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs.
