FOUR people have been fined more than £600 each for failing to identify drivers involved in an offence.

The four – all from Ammanford – were charged with the offence of “failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver / rider of a vehicle when required.”

Davy Richards, 40, of Ffordd y Glowyr, Betws, Ammanford, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 20 where he was found guilty of the offence.

He failed to provide the information to South Wales Police on November 16 at the Central Ticket Office in Treforest and was fined £660 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs.

Daniel Wojciechowski, 32, of Tirydail Lane, Ammanford, was also found guilty of the offence at Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 20.

He failed to provide the information to South Wales Police on November 10 at Central Ticket Office in Treforest. He was fined £660 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs.

Mark Jones, 47, of Stepney Road, Garnant, Ammanford, was found guilty of the offence at Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 19.

He failed to provide the information to South Wales Police on November 17 at Central Ticket Office in Treforest. He was also fined £660 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs.

Philip James Rivers, 64, of Penybanc Road, Ammanford, was found guilty of the offence at Llanelli Magistrates Court on April 25.

He failed to provide the information on December 9 to Dyfed Powys Police at a Safety Camera Unit in Pontypridd and was fined £660 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs.
