Local representatives have supported nurses across Carmarthenshire during the first phase of the national nurses strike.
Cefin Campbell MS has offered a message of support for nurses within the county, as they take a stand against the real terms pay cuts.
The Member of the Senedd for Mid and West Wales said: "On the first day of the nurses' strike, I fully support our hard-working nurses across Carmarthenshire and the whole of Mid and West Wales as they take a stand against the real terms pay cuts and the crisis in their workforce.
“No-one wants industrial action, and time and time again Plaid Cymru has urged the Welsh Government to look at all the levers at their disposal - taxation, reserves, reallocation.

"But here we have the clearest evidence – from the nurses themselves – that they have utterly failed to do that.”
“We are is on the side of all workers fighting for fair pay and safe working conditions, and it's now time for the Welsh government to look again at their responsibility to avert this crisis.”
