A Brynamman man has appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with the rape of an eight-year-old child.
Leslie Davies of Heol y Gelynen, Brynamman, faces two charges of raping the child between March 2015 and December 2016 on at least five separate occasions.
He faces three additional charges of sexually assaulting a child between the ages of 6 and 7 and of touching the child in a sexual manner.
These three charges are alleged to have been committed between March 2013 and March 2015.
Leslie Davies appeared before Swansea Crown Court on Wednesday morning when he denied all five charges.
The matter was adjourned until July 3 when the trial will take place.
Davies was released on unconditional bail.
