A Cwmamman United youngster has been chosen to represent South Wales at Futsal, having also received recognition from national sides.

Sean Howells will play for South Wales National Futsal against North Wales in a fixture in Cardiff this month.

He has previously collected Under 18 caps with Wales and an Under 19 selection with Welsh Colleges.

Club Chairman Lance Williams congratulated Sean on his success.

Speaking of the club’s pride in one of its youngsters, Mr Williams said: “We at Cwmamman United are proud of young local players like Sean gaining recognition at national level.

“He is a great example to many of our junior players of what can be achieved.

“We wish him the best of luck when he plays for South Wales National Futsal in Cardiff in September. Good luck to him from all at the club.”

Sean, whose Cwmamman United kit is sponsored by Llandybie Social Club, has had a photo of him in his Welsh Colleges cap put on display in the Cwmamman United clubhouse to recognise his achievement.
