LLANDYBIE welcomed old friends from north of the border at the weekend as they played host to regular visitors from Scotland, Grangemouth, in the annual meeting between the sides.
The two teams played out their 55th fixture in a friendly game which is scheduled to coincide with the meeting of the national teams in the RBS Six Nations.
In a traditionally good-tempered affair, the hosts ran out relatively comfortable 29-19 winners with Tom Rees getting his name amongst the try-scorers for the hosts in the Friday afternoon head-to-head.
The pain of defeat was made all the worse for the boys from Falkirk who were forced to drown their sorrows while watching their national side torn to pieces by Warren Gatland’s Wales.
