THERE are plans for a major residential development in Llandeilo.

The plans would see 88 homes built by Pobl Group Limited on land adjoining Parc Pencrug and Maes y Farchnad in the town.

The plans also include an access road and associated infrastructure.

The homes would be built on two separate sites, with the first site being 7.7 acres in size and the second, a smaller site of flat land.

The larger development will have access along a principal road, where there will be a series of smaller cul-de-sacs to provide depth of development through the site.

The new access road will lead off the hammerhead serving Parc Pencrug, which will serve a number of the proposed properties directly. It will then branch south and continue on further east.

All of the properties in the development will have off-street parking and the homes will have a mix of detached and semi-detached homes as well as flat units.

Almost 40 per cent of the homes (34) will be in the affordable housing category. The affordable homes are planned to include 12 one-bed flats, 11 two-bed homes, seven three-bed homes and four four-bed homes.

The remaining homes are set to be 15 two-bed homes, 34 three-bed homes in three differing styles and five four-bed homes in two differing styles.

The buildings will be made of a mix of colour rendering with brick detailing walls, fibre cement roof tiles with white UPVC fascia boards, white UPVC fenestration and white UPVC rainwater goods units.
