A NUMBER of applications for works to properties in the Carmarthenshire area have recently been approved by Carmarthenshire County Council.

Two storey side extension, Llwynhendy

Plans for a two-storey side extension at a property in Paradise Cottages, Llwynhendy, has been approved by the council.

The plans were submitted by Steffan Milello and the application states it will involve the demolition of a building and alterations to the roof.

Carmarthenshire County Council granted the application on September 1 with conditions that the work begins within five years of the application being approved, is done in line with the approved plans and the wet room and bathroom must have obscure glazing.

Alterations, refurbishment and first floor extension, Manordeilo

Plans for alterations, refurbishment and first floor extension to a property in Manordeilo have been approved by the council.

The plans were submitted by B Witt and G Hughes for the property on Ashfield Row, Manordeilo and were approved by Carmarthenshire County Council on September 7.

The plans were approved with conditions that the work is started within five years of the application being approved and that work is carried out in line with the agreed plans.

Oak framed garden room, Whitland

Plans for an oak framed garden room to be built at the side of a property in place of demolished stables have been approved.

The plans were submitted by Jack Nethercott and would see the existing stables demolished and a new oak framed garden room to the side.

On September 12, Carmarthenshire County Council approved the plans with conditions that the work is started within five years from the date of approval and is completed in line with the approved plans. There is also a condition that a lighting scheme is submitted to the relevant authority prior to it being installed.

Solar canopy/car port in Llandovery

Plans for a solar canopy/car port in Llandovery have been approved.

The plans were submitted by Mr A Llewelyn of Stone Street, Llandovery, for his property. The area is currently a dental practice car park and will now see a solar canopy/car port built from a steel frame and LR5-54HPB Units for solar panels.

On September 8, the plans were approved by Carmarthenshire County Council on the condition that the work is started within five years from the approval date and in line with the approved plans.

Living room extension, Llandybie

Plans for a living room extension to the rear of a Llandybie property have been approved.

The plans were submitted by Mr and Mrs Wright for their property on Rawlings Road, Llandybie. The extension would be to the rear of the property and approved by Carmarthenshire County Council on September 11 with the condition that work is carried out in line with the approved plans and is started within five years of the approval date and within one month of occupation, a bat box must be installed.

Extension and alterations to property, Dryslwyn

Plans to extend and alter a home in Dryslwyn have been approved.

The plans were submitted by Ffion Jones for her property in Dryslwyn and were approved by Carmarthenshire County Council on September 19 with the condition that work is started within five years of the approval date and carried out in line with the approved plans.

Two storey residential extension, Pontyberem

Plans for a two-storey extension to a residential property in Pontyberem have been approved.

The plans were submitted by Michael Lewis for the Waunboeth property in Pontyberem. It will allow the construction of a two-storey extension to the property.

The plans were approved by Carmarthenshire County Council on September 7 with the condition that work is started within five years of the approval date and carried out in line with the approved plans, the utility room must have obscure glazing, external walls must match the existing building and the work must be carried out in line with the bat survey report.
