AMMANFORD AFC will travel to JD Cymru South newly-promoted Newport City FC on the opening day of the new season.
The fixtures for the 2024-25 JD Cymru South have now been published, with Gruff Harrison’s side kicking off the new season at 7.30pm on Friday, July 26.
The Town’s first game at The Rec will be against Llantwit Major on Tuesday, August 6 at 7.30pm.

Ammanford will face relegated Pontypridd United on Friday, November 1 at 7.30pm, before hosting them on Saturday, February 8 at 2.30pm.
After finishing third last season, Gruff Harrison’s side will be looking to challenge at the top of the table once more. The games against Llanelli Town – who finished second last time out – will take place at The Rec at 2.30pm on Boxing Day and at Stebonheath Park at 7.30pm on Friday, February 21.
The Black and Whites will travel to Carmarthen Town on New Year’s Day at 2.30pm.
Ammanford’s final away game of the season will be at newly-promoted Penrhiwceiber Rangers at 2.30pm on Saturday, April 5.
They will conclude the season at The Rec against Baglan Dragons on Saturday, April 12 at 2.30pm.
Ahead of the league fixture announcement, Gruff Harrison’s team learned they would face either Taffs Well or Merthyr Town in the Nathaniel MG Cup second round on the weekend of August 2-4.
