THERE are plans to build four houses near Ammanford.

The plans have been submitted to Carmarthenshire County Council by Dorian Thomas for the plot of land off 194 Saron Road, Saron.

The site is currently vacant and the application is an outline reserved matters application for access and scale of the site. The development would take place on 0.49 hectares of greenfield land.

The plot of land has been cleared prior to development, although Llandybie Community Council raised concerns that this clearance was done during nesting season.

The current development is in outline format at present and all matters aside from access and scale will be reserved for a future application, with the current application focusing on access and scale.

The proposed scheme will feature four three-bedroom homes which will be detached and will have a shared drive off Saron Road which is proposed along the southern border as a means of access to the properties.

The homes will be located on the northern border of the site and parking will be located along the principal elevation with amenity spaces at the rear.

The final design for the homes – which will be in dormer bungalow style – will draw on the design and shape of the surrounding properties.
