Underwater hockey is played with snorkelling equipment while wearing fins and a 30cm long bat (Which the Llwchwr/Ammanford Underwater Hockey Club can provide).

The sport was established by Alan Blake originally to help local divers keep fit and maintain their equipment in Southsea during out of diving seasons back in 1954.

Now the sport is played globally and nationally. Llwchwr/Ammanford Underwater hockey Club have been around for 30 years and has proudly had its members in the past represent team Great Britain internationally, and presently have members in the Wales Underwater hockey squad, that play at the national tournament and soon to be playing at international tournaments as well.
