HIGH FLIER: Fifteen-year-old Carl Jones has proved to be a challenge not only to other Welsh Motocross riders but also to his English, Scottish and Irish motocross rivals.
With two races not completed due to injury, Carl, from Glanaman, managed a promising tenth overall position in the Ken Winstanley British Youth Series last season. Locally, Carl was talented enough to ride with the adults having now upgraded to the 250cc 4 stroke machine, in Carol's words, it's a "beast" of a machine.
Carl is also lucky to have his own paddock crew, namely Kev Esterban, Rich Holmes, Steve Herbert, Joel Dancey and Jamie Jones. Sponsors and support from Team Esterban Racing, TRT Welding Skewen, Jason Herbert of IRCS, Swansea, Able Construction Llanelli, Motocross Racing, Cross Hands, Ammanford Round Table, Cwmaman Community Council, Morgan Marine, Llandybie and also Stewart and Wayne. New sponsors for this year, SAS Racing Swansea.
Without the support of the above people Carl would not be able to compete such a National Series and a big thank you to all for their support.
