The “No Pylons” campaign was in full swing at a local hot balloon festival during the last bank holiday weekend.

On May 4, the AR y gorWEL Balloon Festival in Llandovery saw participants wear t-shirts and display banners opposing the potential installation of pylons.

Pilots and festival-goers shared the sentiment with Llandovery Pylon Steering Group that pylons would spoil the beauty of the Tywi Valley and negatively impact the local economy.

Any development that threatens this unique landscape, particularly the proposed pylons, would be devastating."
