People Speak Up is hosting an evening with three Welsh female voices in music and poetry.

The special night is set to be held on Thursday, May 9 at Ffwrnes Fach, Llanelli.

It will feature two lauded poets, Clare E Potter and Rhian Elizabeth, and musician Bella Collins.

Audiences can expect new poetry extracts from Ms Potter and Ms Elizabeth.

Ms Potter, a poet and radio presenter, is set to share excerpts from her new book, 'Healing the Pack.'

The book, backed by a Literature Wales bursary and a Society of Authors grant, navigates the difficult terrain of adversity and grief.

Ms Elizabeth, a trainee councillor and writer now residing in Cardiff, will delve into her latest release, 'girls etc.'

The book frankly confronts abuse experiences within a lesbian relationship.

The poignant verses explore motherhood and queer love against this contrasting backdrop.

There will be audio delights courtesy of Ms Collins, a singer, songwriter, and guitarist.

Hailing from Cardiff, her music is rooted in blues, jazz, soul, and old style R'n'B.

She is currently recording her first new music since 2016.

Ffwrnes Fach is the home base of People Speak Up, an organisation championing social, arts, health, mental health, and well-being.

They operate an Arts, health and well-being hub that is open six days a week.

The event on Thursday, May 9, will have doors opening from 6.30pm and begin at 7pm at Ffwrnes Fach, Llanelli.

Admission is free, with donations accepted for refreshments.
