THESE are the motorists who have been caught doing at least 100mph in Carmarthenshire in the past six months.

The drivers and motorcyclist were caught on the A48, the A40, and on the M4.

The were clocked doing speeds between 100mph and 105mph.

Here’s a round-up of their cases.

BETHAN DONALDSON, 48, of Dyffryn Road in Saron, was driving a Mercedes at 105mph on the 70mph A48 near Pensarn on May 2 when she was caught by a manned speed camera.

Donaldson pleaded guilty, and was fined £650 at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on November 28.

She was also told to pay £90 in costs and a £260 surcharge, as well as having six points put on her licence.

JOSEF WOODHEAD, 30, of Brewery Road in Carmarthen, was clocked doing 100mph in a Vauxhall Insignia on the A48 near Pensarn.

An offence of speeding was proved using the single justice procedure at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on March 15.

He was fined £440 and was told to pay £90 in costs and a £176 surcharge. Woodhead had six points added to his licence.

SIMON BENNETT, 57, of Celia Crescent in Ashford, Surrey, was clocked by a manned speed camera doing 102mph in an Audi RS4 on the A40 near Carmarthen – a 70mph limit – on March 25 last year.

He pleaded guilty and was fined £461 at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on November 29.

Bennett was also ordered to pay a £184 surcharge and £110 in costs. He also had six points added to his licence.

IAN DAVIES, 61, of Tir Capel in Llanelli, was caught riding a Honda CB 1000 motorbike at 100mph on the M4 between junctions 48 Hendy and 49 Pont Abraham on May 22.

Davies admitted the offence and received six points on his licence at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on December 18.

He was also fined £171 and was ordered to pay £90 in costs and a £68 surcharge.

ANDREW BERRY, 40, of Maes Delfryn in Llanelli, was speeding in a Citroen at 101mph on the A48 near Pensarn on May 2.

Berry admitted speeding, and was fined £323 at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on November 28.

He also had to pay a £129 surcharge and £90 in costs, and had six points put on his licence.
