Here’s a round-up of the cases.

NICOLA SIMMONS-HOOPER, 41, of Maes Y Bedol in Garnant, has been disqualified after drink-driving.

Simmons-Hooper was accused of driving a Citroen Berlingo on Lloyd Street in Ammanford on March 9. When breathalysed, she recorded having 46 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35.

She pleaded guilty at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on March 26 and was banned from driving for 12 months.

Simmons-Hooper was fined £120 and must pay £85 in costs and a £48 surcharge.

ELIZABETH JONES, 24, of Nant Y Dderwen in Drefach, has admitted driving whilst disqualified in Cross Hands.

Jones was accused of driving a Volkswagen Golf on Pontardulais Road on August 25. It was alleged that she was disqualified from driving at the time, which also meant she had no insurance.

She pleaded guilty to both offences at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on March 26.

The case was adjourned for the preparation of a pre-sentence report. Jones was granted bail, but was warned that all sentencing options remained open.

She will be back before the court for sentence on April 16.
