A group set to boost Ystradgynlais' commerce and tourism ventures has been created.
The Ystradgynlais and District Chamber of Trade and Tourism are looking to enhance the local economy by connecting business owners and community members, with a focus on networking and collaboration.
Co-chaired by Chris Waldie, The Loaf Kitchen Bar owner and Tristan Davies from children’s clothing shop Pethau Plant, the group has various key players, including vice-chairperson Georgia Burdett from Continental Animal Feeds, treasurer Salina Loum from RGS Accountants, memberships officer Cristina Carrasco Chaves from Cristina's Wellbeing Chiropractic, and press and PR officers Chris Richards of Roberts Homes Estate Agents and Becky Roberts of Becky's Cat Sitting Services.
Mr Waldie said: "We set up a group early last year to discuss ways to improve footfall for our businesses."
He highlighted how town councillor Richard Millington advised the businesses needed to be unified to promote interests at local government level.
Memberships are open to all business owners in Ystradgynlais and surrounding district, as well as local community groups and organisations.
A public meeting for interested parties will be held on March 13 at 7pm at The Welfare Ystradgynlais.
