Girlguiding Cwmamman District celebrated World Thinking Day on February 22, in an event steered towards the empowerment of girls.

The service took place at Llanfair Church Cwmgors, as Christchurch Twyn, Garnant, was being renovated, with standards held high by the unit's colour party.

Spirited songs by Rainbows, Brownies and Guides echoed the lively atmosphere, while Guides and Young Leaders provided readings to highlight the significance of Thinking Day.

The event also saw Promises being made by a Rainbow, some Brownies, and a Guide.

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts is the largest voluntary movement dedicated to girls and young women globally.

It boasts of 8.8 million members from 153 countries, with nearly 11,000 members in Girlguiding Cymru, which leads the way for girls' charities in Wales.

They serve as a space for girls aged 4-18, allowing them to be themselves, have fun, and see a world of endless opportunities.
