Community Fridays incorporates key provisions like the affordable Food Pantry and the ETO Hub which dispenses reasonably priced, remodeled furniture and electronics.

It also features Hwb Bach y Gwlad, offering housing and benefit guidance.

Several third-sector bodies, including Home-Start Cymru, Age Cymru and Shadows Depression Group attended; showcasing the diverse spectrum of support accessible to local residents.

Between 10am - 3pm, attendees interacted with third-sector representatives, acquired affordable items from the Cwm Environmental ETO hub and accessed the council's food pantry.

Council leaders and representatives from Ysgol y Bedol also provided advice and assistance during the launch.

Cllr David Jenkins proudly communicated the council's pledge, saying: "I’m proud to express our commitment to helping our community by launching Community Fridays.

"In these challenging times, it's crucial to provide essential support and resources to our residents.

"This initiative reflects our dedication to helping those in need and fostering a stronger, more resilient community."

The council is grateful to residents for their participation in the event and informed that Community Fridays would be held weekly at the community centre with the ETO Hub and Hwb Bach y Gwlad being present on alternate weeks.
