A ROAD in the Towy Valley has a temporary speed limit to allow for Welsh Water to carry out work.

Carmarthenshire County Council has introduced a temporary 30mph speed limit for the class III road leading from Trapp to Gwynfe which will be in place now until Welsh Water has completed its essential maintenance works.

The stretch of road that the 30mph speed limit applies to is:

  • The Class III road leading from Trapp to Gwynfe from a point 125 metres east of the junction with the Class III Trapp to Ffairfach road to its junction with the unclassified road leading to Carreg Cennen Castle.

The council did not give a specific date for the end of the limit in its public notice in the January 10 edition of the South Wales Guardian.
