TWO people have been conditionally bailed as investigations continue into potentially serious injuries caused to a child in the Amman Valley last week.

On the afternoon of Thursday, November 16, a large emergency services presence was spotted in Parc Golwg yr Aman, Garnant, which included two road ambulances, the Wales Air Ambulance and four police cars.

The Wales Air Ambulance was on the scene for a number of hours, with the Welsh Ambulance Service initially confirming to the South Wales Guardian that the incident was at a property nearby.

The statement from the Welsh Ambulance Trust read: "We were called at 1.11pm to a private address."

Emergency services were seen at a property in Glanaman near Parc Golwg Yr Aman.

On Friday, November 17, Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that one person – who they later confirmed was a child – was taken to hospital with what they believed to be ‘serious injuries’ after an incident at a property in Glanaman.

At the time, they also told us that two people had been arrested in connection with the incident and were in police custody.

Their full statement read: “Police attended a property in Glanaman during the afternoon of Thursday, November 16, 2023.

“One person was taken to hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.

“Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident and currently remain in police custody.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

In a statement provided to the South Wales Guardian on Monday, November 20, Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that both people have been conditionally bailed pending further investigation and that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
