DOZENS turned out in Llandovery to remember the local soldiers and their comrades who fought and died during the many conflicts.

On Sunday, November 12, a Remembrance Sunday service was held at Llandovery’s war memorial which was well attended.

Mayor Sarah Jones spoke at the service before a number of people laid wreaths including representatives of the Armed Forces.

Derek from Love Llandovery wrote following the service: “Thanks indeed to the Royal British Legion, the Mayor, the Town Council, the superb bugler for coming at very short notice, the 1st Llandovery Scouts for clearing and cleaning the War Memorial and all who contributed in making this the superb event that it is.”
