SCORES of people turned out to the Remembrance Sunday service in Ammanford yesterday.

Royal Navy veteran Neville Bowen, 101, was among the attendees and alongside fellow veteran Owen Dobson laid wreaths in memory of their fallen comrades at the Ammanford War Memorial.

The service – which saw a number of organisations in attendance as well as members of the public of all ages – was led by Reverend S A Bennett, with the Last Post played on the bugle to mark the remembrance service.

Amongst those in attendance was the Ammanford Army Cadets, Ammanford Air Cadets and the Ammanford Girlguiding branch, with representatives joining the Ammanford branch of the Royal British Legion as standard bearers and laying wreaths.

Ken Burton of the Ammanford branch of the Royal British Legion closed the service.
