MEMBERS of the public joined the Armed Forces Community in Ammanford to mark Armistice Day and remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

A service was held in Betws Park, Ammanford on Saturday, November 11 – Armistice Day – to pay respects to the Armed Forces community on the 105th anniversary of the end of the First World War.

The service was led by Reverend S A Bennett, and featured an address from David Stacey of Betws Community Council, who also laid a wreath.

The Royal British Legion representatives were in attendance with a standard bearer and the Last Post was played on the bugle.

Pupils from Ysgol y Betws were in attendance alongside members of the community, who all paid their respects on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
