A LLANDEILO man has denied domestically abusing a woman.
The man – who we are not naming to protect the identity of the complainant – appeared at Swansea Crown Court facing two charges against the same woman.
The 44-year-old pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and strangulation, both dated from September 7.

Matthew Murphy, defending, said the man claimed the woman was “the physical offender” and that he had been acting in self-defence.
He added that the man denied the strangulation had taken place.
Judge Paul Thomas set a trial date of January 17, and remanded the man in to custody.
