A TOWY Valley drinking establishment has been named as having one of the best dog-friendly pubs in Wales.
The Cawdor Hotel in Llandeilo has been named as the eighth best dog-friendly pub in Wales according to research by Khyam.
The camping and outdoor specialists found that The Cawdor Hotel has a 4.5/5 rating on Trip Advisor with 59 per cent of reviews rating it as ‘Excellent’.
The ranking also includes a walk which can be done with your our four-legged friends to end in the dog-friendly pub for a good pint and roaring fire. The walk is around Dinefwr Park, Llandeilo, which is categorised as an easy walk and would take around 59 minutes.
Khyam’s data analysts used AllTrails and Trip Advisor to find the best dog-friendly pubs for a relaxing pint and a warm fire, identifying the local pubs that serve as a way/endpoint along each route.
They compared total review numbers and the number of ‘Excellent’ reviews on Trip Advisor scores to find the best experiences. The reviews were also used to determine if the pubs were dog friendly and if they had a real fire.
