AN annual event celebrating all things apples and pears in the Towy Valley was held this weekend in Llandeilo.

The Dinefwr Orchardeers held their annual orchard day on Saturday, September 30 at the Home Farm Heritage Orchard near the Dinefwr Estate in Llandeilo.

The Orchardeers are a voluntary, not for profit community organisation that promotes all things apples and pears in the Towy Valley.

At the event, the Orchardeer volunteers harvest the orchard fruit, producing apples for sale and a variety of ciders and juices.

Visitors were also able to take part in the harvest as well as a range of activities around the site, with experts on hand to identify apples from gardens around the area.
