PLANS for a container storage area at a garage in Upper Brynamman have been approved.
The application was submitted by Mr G Davies of Brynamman Valley Motor Services for Black Mountain Garage on Mountain Road, Upper Brynamman.
The area is currently a garage forecourt and vehicle storage area and the plans include security mesh fencing and landscape tree planting.
On September 1, Carmarthenshire County Council approved the plans with the conditions that they start the work within five years of the approval date, the work is carried out in line with the plans, the relevant access, visibility splays, parking and turning area are put in place before it is brought into use and retained afterwards, surface water should be trapped and disposed of so it doesn’t go onto the public highway and no surface water from the development is put into the existing highway surface water drains.
It was granted as it is part of an existing business and on the property of the business and the design is compatible with the current use of the site.
