AN APPLICATION for two timber pods for tourist accommodation in Llanwrda has been withdrawn.
In May this year, Carmarthenshire County Council refused planning permission for two timber pods which would provide tourist accommodation at Garreg Fechan, Llanwrda.
It followed a previous application for three timber pods to be used for tourism which was also refused in 2022.
The application was resubmitted in August by Mr Morgan with more information about the 32-acre land, which is primarily used for agriculture and is home to 96 breeding ewes and lambs of the Llanwenog breed, with potential to increase the number, selling off lambs in a ‘meat box scheme’, with five beehives which is set to increase to nine this year, where honey will be produced.
Carmarthenshire County Council confirmed on September 19 that the application had been withdrawn.
