SOME top comedians will be in Carmarthenshire in October.

The Giggling Goat’s Festival of Comedy will be landing in Carmarthen next month and will see top comedian Russell Kane headline.

The multi-award-winning comedian is also a presenter, actor, author and scriptwriter and has featured on The Apprentice: You’re Fired, The One Show, Live at the Apollo. The Stand Up Sketch Show, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, Stupid Man, Smart Phone and Steph’s Packed Lunch.

He also hosts a BBC podcast called Evil Genius which has also been turned into a TV show. In 2010, he became the first comedian to win both the Edinburgh Comedy Award and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Barry Award in the same year and regularly sells out tours across the UK and further afield.

He will be joined at Carmarthen’s first comedy festival by Nicola and Rosie Dempsey who perform musical comedy under the name Flo & Joan. They have sold out many tours and made appearances at the likes of the Just For Laughs Festival Montreal and Melbourne International Comedy Festival and appeared on Live at the Apollo, The Royal Variety Performance and The Russell Howard Hour.

There will also be a routine from Hal Cruttenden. Hal has made appearances on Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, The Royal Variety Performance, Would I Lie To You, The One Show, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice and The Apprentice: You’re Fired and has been delighting audiences across the UK with a stand up routine about returning to single life.

Noise Next Door – the UK’s premier improv comedy troupe – will also be bringing a show to Carmarthen as part of the festival. The quartet have sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 12 times and will provide funny scenes and songs based on audience prompts.

Also appearing will be Anna Thomas. The Burry Port native won the BBC New Comedian of the Year 2021 competition and has toured comedy clubs across the UK as well as writing and starring in short film Lady Bigfoot.

There will also be performances from The Giggling Goat Live Band.
