A POPULAR event will be taking place in Ammanford this weekend.
Ammanford’s Big Rainbow Day Out will be taking place on Saturday, September 16 on the second attempt to hold it this year.
Initially the event was due to be held on Saturday, July 22 but was postponed due to the expected heavy rain.
However, attendees will be glad to know that the Met Office has forecast a cloudy but dry day for this Saturday.
At the time, organisers said in a statement: “The BDO team haven’t made the decision lightly and the decision has been made in conjunction with the operators of the inflatables and other activities that were due to be in attendance.”
What will be happening?
At Ammanford Park from midday until 5pm, there will be live music and sports activities as well as Crazy Clayton the children’s entertainer, laser tag, donkey rides, inflatables, and assault course, petting farm, crazy golf, didi cars, a helter skelter, rock & roller, rodeo rugby ball, total wipeout and a storyteller tree.
The event will be compered by Gareth P Morris.
Entry is free but cash is needed for attractions during the event. There is a £10 ride all day ticket on offer this year to help with costs. The £10 ticket will allow a child unlimited access to the nine inflatables, donkey rides, petting farm and other attractions all day. The ticket can be bought at www.ticketsource.co.uk/null/t-eaqdaoy
