THIS WEEKEND, visitors to Aberglasneywill be able to enjoy some of the best local food and drink with a special event.

Aberglasney will be holding its first Food and Music Fair in its gardens on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10, where they will be celebrating locally produced food and drink as well as entertainment from west Wales-based music artists.

The gardens will be transformed into a food paradise with a variety of stalls selling products including cakes, doughnuts, chutneys, chocolate, wine and spirits which are all locally produced as well as ‘on-the-go’ food and drink vendors and Aberglasney’s own tearooms will also be open.

There will be a range of lawn games for children, as well as the Aberglasney Tree Trail.

There will be live music on the Saturday from Saxy Brass and Old Stratford, with No Mean Biscuit and The Flyrites on the Sunday. Throughout the weekend, there will also be performances from local choirs, the Guitar Duo, Wandering Minstrel and a saxophone soloist.

Jim Stribling, director of operations at Aberglasney, said: “Visitors will be able to experience the taste and sound of west Wales as well as enjoy the beauty of the gardens at our first ever Food & Music Fair.”

The fair will be open between 10am and 6pm on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10. Entry costs £10 per person and this will include entrance too the gardens themselves.
