An investigation has been launched into the death of a man who was found on the grass verge of a road.

Keith Allen, 47, from Garnswllt, was found dead on the grass verge along Heol Glyn Dyfal Road, Felindre, on Sunday, August 6.

He had been cycling along the road the previous day – Saturday, August 5 - and appeared to have come off his bike during this time.

South Wales Police is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything on that stretch of road.

Detective sergeant David Connick said: “Our thoughts are with Keith’s family and friends at this time.

“Inquiries are ongoing to establish why he came off his bike, so we are keen to speak to anyone who may have been on that stretch of road between 8.30pm on Saturday, 5th August and midnight on Sunday, 6th August who may have information or dashcam footage that could assist our investigation.”
