THIS past week has seen people from all across Wales and further afield descend on Llandovery to celebrate all things Welsh as the Urdd Eisteddfod came to town.

The Urdd Eisteddfod is a celebration of the Welsh language and culture and is aimed at young people, putting the youngsters at the heart of the festival.

Between Monday, May 29 and the final day, today, Saturday, June 3, thousands of young people and their families descended on the Maes to enjoy what was on offer in the fabulous sunshine.

Alongside the infamous competitions, there were stalls from local and national groups and organisations, including Dyfed-Powys Police, Carmarthenshire County Council and Hywel Dda University Health Board.

There was also a lot of entertainment including S4C's Cyw and Organised Kaos and a funfair.

Take a look at the fun that took place in these pictures.
