WALKERS in the Brecon Beacons will be stopped from using one of the paths in the Dyffryn Cennen area for up to six months.
The Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority (Brecon Beacons) will be prohibiting walkers using one of the footpaths from next month for up to six months to allow a new water main to be laid and to ensure public safety as it crosses the footpath.
The footpath is number 38 and is in the Dyffryn Cennen area. From June 14, walkers will not be able to use the path from the public road at Trap (grid reference 265419,219034 in an east, south-easterly direction for 600 metres to the junction with the public footpath number 39 (grid reference 265934,218815).
There will be no available alternative route along the rights of way network.
