TWO people from Ystradgylais will appear in court later this month in relation to threatening with an offensive weapon.
Anthony Thomas, 53, of Llys Frederick Jones, Ystradgynlais, admitted threatening with an offensive weapon at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court on February 17.
He admitted that on November 3 at Llys Frederick Jones, Ystradgynlais, he was in possession of an offensive weapon – a meat cleaver – and used it in such a way that there was an immediate risk of physical harm against Daniel Smith.
He admitted the charge and has been granted unconditional bail and is due to be sentenced at Swansea Crown Court on March 3.

Smith appeared at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court on February 17 where he was accused of possessing an offensive weapon in Llys Frederick, Ystradgynlais on November 3 and used the weapon – a shovel – to threaten another individual – Anthony Thomas - in such a way that there was an immediate risk of serious physical harm.
No plea was entered and he was granted unconditional bail and is next due to appear at Swansea Crown Court on March 17.
