A BRIDGE near Llandeilo will be off limits for more than two months.
Carmarthenshire County Council placed a public notice in the February 15 edition of the South Wales Guardian advising of their plans to close the bridge to traffic.
The Glanrhyd Bailey Bridge will be closed to traffic from Monday, March 6 and will be closed for 10 weeks. This is to allow for bridge replacement works.
During this period, vehicles will not be allowed to travel along the Glanrhyd Bailey Bridge which has the road name of C2270 Cilycwm from the junction with the U4165 for a total of 123 metres in a westerly direction.

An alternative route is going to be put in place for westbound traffic which is to proceed in a south-easterly direction along the C2270, passing Rhydfelen to its junction with the C2163. Turn right at the junction and continue in a north-westerly direction along the C2163, passing Ochr-y-fforest and Divlyn to the junction with the C2157.
At the junction, turn right and continue in a north-westerly direction along the C2157 passing Aberdunant, Abergwenlais and Brynderi to the junction with the C2270, passing Maes-yr-Afon, Tynewydd and Dol-Gynon to return to a point west of the closure.
The notice states it will be in reverse for eastbound traffic.
