A LLANDYBIE photographer has been highly commended and had her work published in Vogue Italia.

Adele Morris – who now lives in Bridgend - is already an award-winning photographer, but she has continued to wow with her latest accolade.

Ms Morris has been highly commended by The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) for her maternity photography.

“Receiving an award from the society is a huge success for a photographer,” she said. “They are world recognised and full of big names from across the globe.”

She continued: “To be already receiving recognition from my peers with being awarded highly commended for my maternity photography is a big deal."

“Having my work selected by Vogue’s highly skilled editorial team, which is known for setting incredibly high standards during the selection of photo publication, is a huge accomplishment and is sought after by photographers across the globe.”

Ms Morris’ work in capturing images showing the bond between parents and children has been in part driven by her own children – aged five, three and two – particularly after her three-year-old was diagnosed with autism.

She said: “It’s been a tough year, learning as a family to accommodate my son’s needs, but it’s also been one of the main driving forces to create photos for my clients, showing the bond between parent and child, knowing how important it is to have photos tell their story.

“My work has been described as timeless, powerful, and captivating, and without my clients, all this wouldn’t be possible.

“Each chapter in life is unique and important, and not to be skipped, from nurturing a baby through pregnancy, arrival of a newborn to a growing family through the generation.

“I feel so lucky to capture so many families, knowing creating their legacy is priceless to them.”

Ms Morris has seen demand for her work increase since her award and publishing, with clients booking more than six months in advance and having a waiting list.
