THREE residents from the region were recently in court for a variety of offences.

Andrew Lobb, 48, of Cynghordy, Llandovery, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Llanelli Magistrates Court on January 30.

He committed the offence on July 4 when he failed to provide Dyfed-Powys Police with information relating to the identity of the driver of a Volvo XC90 believed to have been involved in an offence.

He was fined £660, given six points on his licence and ordered to pay £264 surcharge and £90 costs.

Freddie Stanton, 24, of Tanydarren, Cilmaengwyn, Pontardawe, was found guilty of stopping a vehicle within the limits of a crossing by Cardiff Magistrates Court on January 19.

He was caught on September 28 stopping an Audi A3 he was driving partly on a pelican crossing.

He was fined £220, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £88 surcharge and £90 costs.

Trystan Rawlings, 21, of Ystalyfera, admitted possession of a class B drug at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court on January 23.

He admitted being in possession of 25g of cannabis in Ystalyfera on October 21.

He was fined £186 and ordered to pay £74 surcharge and £85 costs. The drugs were forfeited and destroyed.
