AN Amman Valley teenager has completed her first pantomime at Swansea Grand Theatre.

Imogen Collom, 14, attends Ysgol Dyffryn Amman and spent the festive season performing in the Swansea Grand Theatre in the Imagine Theatre Productions Beauty and the Beast pantomime.

“Imogen was in the junior ensemble in Thorne Team,” said aunt Stacey Amos. “She had to audition last July, and was successful to get down to the last 24.”

The ensemble was made up of three teams of eight performers.

It was the first time Imogen had performed in pantomime at the venue, but not the first time she has taken part in panto.

“She has been in Porthcawl’s pantomime for three years, before covid hit to put the last two years on stop for her.”

Imogen dreams of being on the West End and was able to meet some big stars including Scottish actor and Strictly Come Dancing winner Joe McFadden while doing the panto.

Imogen said: “It was a great experience with a talented, wonderful cast, and I loved every minute of it.

“I’m so grateful for having the opportunity with Imagine Theatre Productions and I can’t wait for the next panto season.”

Imogen was introduced to panto by her Amman Valley School of Dance teacher Ronnie Fortt-Mitchell. The talented dancer, who began attending classes at the age of three, has won a number of European championships in dance, including three in 2022.
