A new wellbeing workhub has been launched at Llyn Llech Owain Country Park, which offers working spaces in the Discovery Tower of the park.

The workhub is designed to offer a unique, tranquil working space which is surrounded by nature, with the aim of benefitting health, wellbeing and productivity.

There is an outdoor meeting shelter for larger groups and convenient and accessible car parking, bicycle bays and toilet facilities.

There is a variety of options to stay active and challenge the traditional nine-to-five working day with nature trails to be explored and benches dotted along the lake’s perimeter to provide a place to take a break and catch up with colleagues or friends.

The workhub is located in 180 acres of beauty and is part of the Welsh Government’s remote working strategy, which aims to move 30 per cent of the Welsh workforce away from traditional office spaces.

A survey by the government found that 68 per cent of respondents were positive about remote working hubs and being near to nature and green spaces ranked high in the requirements.

Phil Lewis, lead of Valleys Regional Park which funded and developed the hub, said: “Green co-working spaces such as this one at Llyn Llech Owain provide a fantastic opportunity to positively impact the work culture and wellbeing of the workforce in Wales.
