THREE men have been banned from the road for a range of offences.

Matthew James, 29, of West Crossways, Pontardawe, was found guilty of driving without proper control of a vehicle by Cardiff Magistrates Court on December 20.

He committed the offence on May 24 when he was driving a Volkswagen Caddy at Ynysforgan Interchange when the court said he was ‘in such a position that you could not have proper control of the vehicle.’

He was banned from driving for six months, fined £220 and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Steven Clark, 37, of Ger yr Afon, Glanaman, admitted two driving charges at Llanelli Magistrates Court on December 22.

He admitted that on December 3, he drove a VW Gold on Pontamman Road, Ammanford, without an insurance policy in place to cover the use of the vehicle.

He also admitted that on the same date, he drove the car whilst being banned from driving.

He was fined £550. He was also given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £120 surcharge and £85.

Robert Isaac, 21, of Pontarddulais Road, Tycroes, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis at Llanelli Magistrates Court on December 22.

He committed the offence on December 4 when he failed to provide Dyfed-Powys Police with a specimen of breath for analysis.

He was given a community order for 12 months, banned from driving for 36 months and fined £60. He also had to pay £114 surcharge and £85 costs.
