A CARDIGAN businessman in insisting that all roads should lead to Cardigan.

Lyn Jenkins, who runs the Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, near Mwnt, has stepped up his campaign to have the name of the town included on sign-posting at the Pensarn Roundabout on the outskirts of Carmarthen.

On learning that Mr Jenkins was seeking the support of Cardigan Town Council, Cllr John Adams-Lewis commented: “Lyn has been on about this for years.

“He has a point because anyone arriving at Pensarn travelling from the east will see no mention of Cardigan at that roundabout.

“No wonder so much of the traffic heads down to Pembrokeshire.”

Cllr Richard Jones also gave his backing to Mr Jenkins’ proposal.

“This should be done, especially as Cardigan is a hidden gem,” he said. “We don’t want to remain hidden away anymore.”

Town clerk Eleri Maskell said the request would be forwarded to MS Lee Waters, Deputy Minister for Climate Change.
