A NUMBER of people have been in court from across the region for speeding.

Gail Edmunds, 32, of Swansea Road, Trebanos, Pontardawe, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 25.

She was caught on October 3 doing 35mph in a Volkswagen Tiguan on Pontardawe Road in Clydach. The limit for the road is 20mph as it is outside St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School.

She was fined £450, given four points on her licence and ordered to pay £140 surcharge and £90 costs.

Kayley Marie Jones, 31, of Ynysydarren Road, Ystalyfera, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 25.

She was caught on August 31 doing 36mph in a Kia on Birchgrove Road, Glais, where the limit is 20mph.

She was fined £80, given five points on her licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Andrew Mark Lloyd, 56, of Heol y Gors, Cwmgors, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 25.

He was caught on September 7 doing 54mph in a Dacia Sandero on the A474 Heol y Gors, Cwmgors, a restricted road with a 30mph limit.

He was fined £369, given six points on his licence and ordered to pay £148 surcharge and £90 costs.

Lorna Billingham, 54, of Margaret Street, Ammanford, was found guilty of speeding by Llanelli Magistrates Court on November 29.

She was caught on May 19 doing 38mph in a Citroen C3 on the A483 near Talardd Villas, a restricted road with a limit of 30mph.

She was fined £66, given three points on her licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge.

Aled John Lewis, 36, of Wernoleu Road, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on November 29.

He was caught on May 12 doing 50mph in a Hyundai Tucson on Cwmgwili, a restricted road with a 30mph limit.

He was fined £480, given six points on his licence and ordered to pay £48 surcharge and £90 costs.

Lydia Annette Davies, 42, of Oddfellows Street, Ystradgynlais, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on November 30.

She was caught on May 20 doing 41mph in a Hyundai I10 on the A470 Llyswen, a restricted road with a 30mph limit.

She was fined £66, given four points on her licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge.

Hayley Powell, 26, of Tal y Coed, Hendy, Pontarddulais, was found guilty of speeding by Llanelli Magistrates Court on December 1.

She was caught on May 22 doing 43mph in a Vauxhall Corsa on the A483 Llanwrtyd Wells, where the limit is 30mph.

She was fined £440, given four points on her licence and ordered to pay £44 surcharge and £90 costs.
