TWO footpaths will be diverted near the Brecon Beacons.

The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority published two public notices in the November 16 edition of the South Wales Guardian stating that the diversions to two footpaths near Dyffryn Cennen will be taking place – if unopposed by the public and confirmed by the Welsh Government.

The two footpaths are Public Footpath number 10 and Public Footpath number 14.

The section of path 10 that is diverted is from grid reference 266202,221186 in a west south westerly direction for 120 metres to grid reference 266098,221144, then turning in a west north westerly direction for 170 metres to grid reference 265938,221187.

It will be diverted to a line running from grid reference 266202,221186 in a west north westerly direction for 135 metres to grid reference 266073,221219, then turning in a west south westerly direction for 140 metres to grid reference 265938,221187.

The section of path 14 that is diverted is from grid reference 263994,221010 in a south westerly direction for 75 metres, then in a west north westerly direction for 85 metres to the public road at grid reference 263849,220998.

It will be diverted to a line running from grid reference 263994,221010 in a north westerly direction for 120 metres to a public road at grid reference 263897,221079.

Both orders and the order maps can be viewed for free at the office of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority, Plas y Ffynnon, Cambrian Way, Brecon, between 9am and 4pm, Mondays to Fridays or by emailing row@beacons-npa.gov.uk.

The order – as stated by the authority – for both footpaths was confirmed by the authority on November 16.
