A pin drop could be heard in Ammanford as the town, along with the rest of the country, stayed in and watched the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Many coffee shops, pubs, chains and independent stores were closed as almost no sign of life could be seen on the streets.

Some shops will open later on in the day, such as supermarkets including Tesco.

The only noises that could be heard were occasional barks from dogs on their morning walk, as most people remained indoors at home.

The funeral is expected to be one of the most watched programmes in British television history.
