TWO people from Llandeilo have recently appeared in court.

Mark James, 44, of Maes y Farchnad, Llandeilo, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 21 on drugs charges.

He was charged with one count of possession of a class A drug after being caught on August 18, 2021, with 5.51g of cocaine. He pleaded guilty.

He was also charged with possession of a class C drug after being caught with 22 tablets of Buprenorphine and possession with intent to supply a class B drug after being caught with 183.84g of cannabis.

No plea was entered so he is set to stand trial at Swansea Crown Court for the latter two charges and will be sentenced for the first offence on August 18, 2022.

Catherine Philippa Winter, 56, of Bethlehem Road, Llandeilo, admitted speeding at Swansea Magistrates Court on July 25.

She was caught on December 19 doing 40mph on Carmarthen Road, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £350 and banned from driving for six months. She also had to pay £35 surcharge and £90 costs.
