Two people have been taken to hospital following a major road incident on the A40 betwen Llandeilo and Dryslwyn.
The accident took place shortly before 1pm on Thursday, July 21.
Emergency tenders, including the Wales Air Ambulance, attended the scene.
"We arrived at the scene at 18:50 and following critical care treatment from our on-board constuatnt and critical care practiioner, we escorted the patient to the University Hospital of Wales Cardiff, in an ambulance," commented a spokesperson for Wales Air Ambulance.
The road remained closed in both directions for several hours following the incident.
The South Wales Guardian is currently awaiting an update from Dyfed-Powys Police, however the casualties' conditions are not thought to be life threatening.
