A total of 323 crimes were reported in the first five months of the year
The latest crime statistics from police.uk have shown that nearly 90 crimes were reported in Ammanford in one month.
The 86 crimes reported make the month the heaviest for crime in the last 12 months, as crime has continued to rise in the town since January.
Between January and May 2022, a total of 323 crimes were reported in Ammanford.
The most common type of crime was violence and sexual offences, with 31 of those crimes reported.

There were also 14 public order offences and 13 criminal damage and arson offences reported, as well as ten anti-social behaviour offences.
Thirty-six of the crimes are currently under investigation, with 17 further investigations complete with no suspect identified.
